9.0 : Syndicated Content

By “syndicated content,” we mean content that can be shared with other sites on the SEIU Web Network, and content that you can pick up and use on your site. Content can be syndicated by all sites on the Network. Syndication is available for:
o Articles
o Events
o Press Releases
o Promos
o Assets (images, documents, etc.)

Syndicated content is managed by Syndication Categories. The following basic categories are available:
o On the Job—rights, problem-solving, safety and health
o Political Action—COPE, MPO, links to elected officials and voting resources
o SEIU International Content—About SEIU, join, benefits, SEIU News, Campaigns
o SEIU Divisions—Evergreen’ content by division

To subscribe to syndication categories:
1. Go to Manage > Web Site and click on the name of your site
2. Click the Syndication Categories tab
3. Check the categories you want to subscribe to and click Save.

To create syndication categories (if you need to create a category in order to share content with other sites in your state, in your division, or in a campaign):
1. Go to Configure > Syndication Categories
2. Click Add a Category in the upper right-hand corner

To find syndicated content:
1. Go to the tab called Syndicated Articles (or Syndicated Promos etc.) in your full list of articles, promos, press releases, or events.
2. Click Add to My Site
There are two types of syndicated content: Editable and Read Only. You will be able to edit only the “Editable” content.

To find syndicated assets:
1. Go to the tab called Syndication Center in the Asset Library.

To syndicate articles (follow the same process for other content types):
1. Click the Syndication tab in the Create Article interface
2. Choose Editable or Read Only and the appropriate categories (only the categories to which you are subscribed show).
3. Click Save.
