Known Bugs when using Firefox 3
We have finalized our initial SWEB/Firefox 3 compatibility tests and can provide the following list of known bugs:
-
Bug:
Cannot utilize the "INSERT" function within the WYSIWYG Editor
-
Location:
Back-end - Manage/Create **ALL** content-types
-
Description:
When creating/editing content which requires usage of the WYSIWYG editor, the "INSERT" commands cannot be successfully completed. This means that users cannot insert; links, documents, images, etc into content using the WYSIWYG
-
Bug:
Cannot attach contracts/stewards to worksites
-
Location:
Back-end - Manage/Create Worksites
-
Description:
Attaching contracts and/or stewards to a worksite requires use of the WYSIWYG "INSERT" function, which is currently not functioning
-
Bug:
Topic folder display anomalies in Asset Library views
-
Location:
Back-end - Manage/Create Assets
-
Description:
If user comes to the above location with all topic folders in their
collapsed state and then expands any folder, the expansion of this
folder pushes the above folder into the tab bar. If there is only one
folder choice to expand, expanding this video folder causes it to
expand partially into the tab bar above.
-
Bug:
Cannot add new pages - system error on save
-
Location:
Front-end - Add Page / New Page properties
-
Description:
When attempting to add a new page from the front-end editor, the user is presented with the properties dialog of the new page, but when the user completes the form and selects 'SAVE', a system error is returned
A few important notes about this list:
1. This list of bugs is not to be considered complete - new and/or undocumented bugs may be discovered at any time - new occurrences will be added to this post.
2. While we are working to provide support for Firefox 3, at this time,
the upgrade to Firefox 3 is not recommended, nor is it supported by
SWEB.
3. We are working to resolve all issues as quickly as possible, but no time-lines will be established.
